Make a Willow Serving Platter or a Hanging Plant Tray
Get creative this Summer and learn the beautiful craft of willow weaving! This is a hands-on workshop where you’ll make your own willow serving platter or a hanging tray for pots of herbs, strawberry plants or flowers. Ideal for yourself or as a thoughtful handmade gift for family or friends.
All materials, tools, and tuition are provided and is suitable for beginners or those with some previous willow weaving experience. You’ll take home your completed piece, along with new skills in willow weaving - a wonderfully meditative and relaxing way to spend your Sunday!

Schedule for in-person willow weaving Workshops in 2026
Sunday 19th July: Join us to learn how to make a hanging pot plant holder for indoor or outdoor plants/herbs. (1/2 day course)
Sunday 2nd and 23rd August: Join us to learn how to make a small trug for harvesting your summer cut flowers (2nd Aug) and/or fruit and vegetables or a small foraging basket ready for Autumn foraging (23rd Aug). (1/2 day courses)
Saturday and Sunday 5th and 6th September: Join us to learn how to make a laundry basket and/or a log basket (Two full days - course).
Sunday 18th and Saturday 31st October: Join us to learn how to make a toilet roll storage holder (18th October) and/or a dried flowers vase (31st October) (Full day and 1/2 day courses)
Sunday 15th and 29th November: Join us to learn how to make a pet bed (for a small dog or cat) (15th November) and/or a woven willow skirt to hide the base for your Xmas tree (29th November) (full day and 1/2 day courses)
Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th December: Join us to learn how to make Xmas wreathes (12th and 20th December) and/or Willow Xmas decorations (13th and 19th December) (1/2 day courses)
January: Join us to learn how to make a garlic holder and/or a bird feeder to help our birds survive the Winter weather. (1/2 day course)
February: Join us to learn how to make a bird feeder to help our birds survive the Winter weather and/or a variety of 3-D hearts to help celebrate valentine's day - treat your loved ones. (1/2 day courses)
March: Join us to learn how to make egg baskets ready for Easter and/or bird nest boxes to help our nesting birds keep their off spring safe.(Full day courses)
April and May: Join us to learn how to make a variety of garden obelisks ready to support all your newly planted flowers and vegetables. (1/2 day course)
June: Join us to learn how to make a fruit bowl for your kitchen table and/or a picnic platter tray for your bread or cheese biscuits. (1/2 day courses)

If you would like to take part individually or with a group of friends/family/colleagues, and are local to Edinburgh we can host the workshop or if you are Edinburgh, Lothians, Scottish Borders, North Northumberland we can travel to you and deliver the workshop in your own premises.
